Girl Gang - November 2023

Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Mark your calendars for December 13th at NOON for lunch and to share projects.

Julie and Kerry went to the Houston quilt show and Julie came home with some fun kits to work on.

This is a cute garden pattern with berries and flowers.
Into the Garden.

A trend is to make little fabric pieces to go with a
wood piece like this owl and pumpkins.

...and this metal Christmas boot with a wreath quilt.

Julie loves to applique and has been working on this quilt, Sweet Tweet.  Julie keeps a couple of block of the month quilts going at once!

Brittany it still putting together her Liberty of London star quilt.  She is going to name it: Give Me Liberty!  Very clever.  This quilt is 29 x 24 rows of stars which adds up to 696 stars.  She has leftovers to make another smaller quilt.  This quilt is king size and will go on her bed to enjoy.  She began making stars in 2014.

It takes Brit about a half hour to pin a row on before she
sews the strip on.  This is an amazing project!

Jennifer brought a darling half square triangle quilt that was leftover blocks from a pinwheel quilt.  It is lots of fun.

Jennifer plum quilt came back from the quilter and it is so beautiful.  The Tilda fabrics are beautiful and the quilting is the perfect compliment to the quilt.

Debra has made another little rosette quilt, this one is Rosette Wreath.  It is so darling and will be fun for the holidays.

Debra's wool stocking advent quilt is finally finished.  Each stocking is unique and so cute.  The embellishing is wonderful.  It is darling Debra!

Leslie brought some beautiful cross stitch pieces to share.  This sampler is stitched on 36 count and the saying is: We Live in Hope.  It is beautiful.

This Thanksgiving sampler is ready for framing.

This sweet little pillow is filled with sawdust from Dennis'
workroom.

Leslie was working on slippers for her grandson's birthday today.  She got them finished before she left and Noah will be a lucky birthday boy.

Leslie also shared a quilt that she taught at Gentler Times.  Oh, we all had warm memories when we saw this quilt.

Liz made two dragon quilts called Dragon Dreams for a grandbaby that was born in July.  The blue one went to the grandson.  It was a surprise when he was born so both quilts were ready.

Liz also made this Anna Maria Horner pattern, Color Dive, from Kaffe Fassett fabrics.
