Girl Gang - January 2026

It's great to start the new year enjoying everyone's beautiful projects.

Trudy has been knitting away and her husband has been anticipating her finishing this beautiful cable throw so that he can enjoy it.  It is made of soft wool yarn and will be cozy on a cold night.

Leslie has been busy making all sorts of things to commemorate the country's semiquincentennial or 250th anniversary.  This One Nation Under God cross stitch piece is about halfway done.  What a beautiful tribute to our country.

Leslie has different sizes of bags to keep her projects in.

She also brought some darling pillows that she finished.

...and a sixth pair of wool socks.

She made a sweet little shawl, just her size with a picot edge.

This is a quilt pattern that Leslie plans to make, also for the country's anniversary.

And a cross stitch pattern of the Mayflower.  Leslie's ancestor was on the ship.  Leslie is going to be busy!

Debra has been making some darling quilts and we loved seeing Norma's beautiful patterns made up.  Debra made this sweet Love One Another that is wool applique.

Debra also made this darling Love Birds quilt, just in time for Valentine's Day.

We all loved seeing Silent Night which is piecing and wool applique.  It is a peaceful quilt and Debra embellished it with cute ice icicles on the cabin roof.

Debra had fun making snowmen and houses on this In The Meadow quilt.

Kerry has been obsessed with working on this Honey Bee quilt from Dragonfly Studio by Suzanne Cody.  It has taken 6 months.  Amazing. It features aboriginal fabrics and lots of other beautiful fabrics that have been fussy cut and placed so well.  The most amazing part is the 1/8 inch vines in the quilt.  Kerry used Celtic bias bars to make the vines so perfect.  A stunning quilt!  We can't wait to see it after it is quilted.

Cheers for Julie who has finished her Field of Flowers quilt!  It is back from the quilter and Julie has it bound.  It is so bright and colorful and the fabrics are amazing.  It is 95 x 95 and will be on Julie's bed.  The amount of hours to prep each block and applique them is quite something.  Well done Julie!

Liz and Jennifer were so happy to finish two quilts.  A Quilt for Alice was a fun project that had been tucked away for a lot of years.  It is a fun little star quilt.

Also, the Bunting Quilt by Tilda is also finished.  The fabrics were enjoyable to put into this quilt.  The quilting makes this quilt!

Girl Gang - December 2025

It was fun to be together in December and also share a few projects.

Valerie brought some darling cross stitch ornaments that she has made over the years.  They are sweet little reminders of the season.

Kathy's granddaughter, Kate, loves to do handwork and wore this adorable sweater that she has been stitching on and plans to add more as she goes.  Cute stitching and applique!

Look at how how fun this sewing wallet is that Norma made.  It has applique and the perfect cross stitch saying.

Laraine had a busy time using up leftover fabrics.  This tree quilt is a bright reminder of the season.  She also made a mini quilt with triangle trees.

Laraine made this monochromatic quilt for her cousin.  The pattern is Fat Quarter Frolic.  It is a beautiful, graphic quilt.

Lorraine DeWaal has been busy taking the plaids off of this pinwheel quilt.  The plaids came from her Dad's shirts.  She made a quilt called, Dad's Plaids.  It has applique circles of this fabric.

The hand quilting is great and the buttons add a nice touch.

Lorraine also loves to do slow stitching and has been working on these snippets.

Marilyn brought this happy red and white quilt that would work for lots of holidays or just enjoying it because it is bright and fun.

Marilyn brought this quilt that is machine embroidery red work.  It is a great quilt!

Leslie was knitting away on this Sophie's Scarf.  It is a narrow scarf that is pointed at the ends.  Perfect for a cute little accent and to keep warm.

Leslie also shared these sweet Christmas pillows.  Go Tell It On The Mountain cross stitch patterns can be found on Etsy.

Happy New Year!  Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Girl Gang - May 2026

What fun to see new projects and what people have been working on. Leslie is as busy as ever.  She has made this Three Flags Log Cabin quilt...
