Girl Gang - January 2024

A new year and new projects!  It was so great to be together.  We missed those who weren't feeling well or couldn't come.

We loved finally getting a peek at Julie's Garden Party Down Under quilt.  The pattern is from Irene Blanke.  This kit comes from Material Obsession,  Julie is the queen of flower applique!  This quilt has a soft black background and black and white stripes that give it so much life.  It is beautiful.  We can't wait to see the future blocks.

Jennifer shared blocks from a quilt that she and Liz are working on.  It is called Folk Flower and is an Anna Maria Horner pattern.  The fabric is the Tilda Bloomsville line.  Four blocks done, 46 to go!

Leslie has just finished this adorable cross stitch called Winter.  It has soft colors and pinecones and a dear that make it so darling.

Leslie brought a quilt that she made in 2004 called Mended to Glory.  Who could forget the beautiful quilts at Gentler Times and this was one of them.  It is a fabulous quilt.

Norma shared some cross stitch pieces that she has been working on.  This gem is worked on Aida cloth.  It would be the same as a 40 count in linen.  It is a magical piece.  Norma enjoyed stitching on it because each thing is its own little picture.  It is so beautiful.

Norma made What Remains is Love by Blackbird designs.  The colors are so soothing.

And, this little keeper that Norma made is so charming.  Norma stitched the piece but didn't have a smaller frame so she made the patchwork piece, added some antique lace and has a treasured piece.  It is to celebrate Norma and Bruce's 50th anniversary last year.

Liz has finished this quilt top of the Wensleydale quilt, a Jen Kingwell pattern from the book Quilt Recipes.  A big thanks to Diane for sharing her box of Jen Kingwell fabrics to give this quilt a boost.

We just heard that Craft Center is selling their business.  It has been the shop to visit for cross stitch supplies for many decades.  We are sad but wish them well.

Girl Gang - May 2026

What fun to see new projects and what people have been working on. Leslie is as busy as ever.  She has made this Three Flags Log Cabin quilt...
