Kathy brought her granddaughter, Katie, to Girl Gang today and she shared some little animals that she has stitched. They are about 5 inches long and so adorable. The stitching is perfect. So cute Katie!
Kathy shared a darling star quilt that she made with a lot of Tula Pink fabrics. The center of each star is fussy cut with an animal or face or flower. The colors are so great. Sorry that the picture of the whole quilt was fuzzy.
Kathy also shared this Jen Kingwell quilt, Delilah. Every block is so beautiful. It is an amazing quilt!
Trudy shared this fabulous basket quilt. That is a lot of appliqued baskets. She said she worked on it when she traveled or had some spare time. Just lovely.
Debra is so great at wool applique. She brought this Sue Spargo quilt: Fresh Cut, with birds and flowers and all sorts of whimsey. It is adorable.
Valerie brought some fun quilts. She made Norma's pattern, Yes, We Can America! We all love this quilt!
Ann brought a cute doll that she started back in the Gentler Times era and she needed a little inspiration for the clothes. Ann hand knit the socks. Aren't they cute?
Lorraine has been busy doing freeform stitching taking bits and bobs to make scrap bowls a journal cover and a piece that she is still working on.
Marilyn has been busy making pin cushions with scrap fabrics and sand inside. They are so cute and would make a great paper weight because they are heavy.
Kerry got into the hexi craze a while ago and made a bunch of flowers so she designed this quilt called Honey Flow to use them in. Love the bright colors and fun applique borders.
So, Julie. This quilt is beyond amazing and Julie is close to being done but she has started calling this quilt, "the quilt from hell". Yup. (It's really called Field of Flowers.) But, when she gets that last side border finished, it will be a masterpiece. It is so big that it is hard to get the whole quilt in a picture.
Leslie has finished the cross stitch sampler for her son and his wife, Josh and Jenn. And it is framed with Dennis' handmade frames.
Leslie stitched this Winter Comes, a pattern by Heartstrings Samplery. The snowy blue lettering is darling.
When Leslie is ready to frame a piece, she pins it onto a foam core board and then stitches it in place.
Leslie is about half done with hand quilting this lovely Civil War quilt called Blue and Gray in the book The Blue and Gray from That Patchwork Place. Such a beautiful quilt.
A lucky great grandson arrives in a few months and Leslie is ready with a hand knit hooded sweater and sweet gray and cream quilt. He is a lucky boy.
Norma had forgotten that she made this quilt but we are all glad that she remembered. It is called Thrifty Thirties and is made from 30's fabric and feed sack fabric. Norma used to collect feed sacks as she would drive east across the Midwest. It is on chambray fabric. You just want to make it when you see it!
