Girl Gang - April 2026

We missed you if you weren't at Girl Gang today.

Lorraine shared this sweet fabric book of slow stitching that she enjoyed working on.  She put all of the "pages" together in a darling book.  It is slow stitching and improv and lovely.

Brittany has just gotten this fun bicycle quilt back from the quilter.  She has made this quilt for her girls mountain biking coach.  It has soft gray minky on the back.  That is a lucky coach!

Brittany is always hand stitching and making fabulous little things like this Dresden plate and the Grandmother's Flower Garden blocks.  She uses Liberty of London fabrics for her blocks and will figure out how she is going to put them together later.  They are so sweet.

Laraine made this patriotic table runner from a poppy quilt pattern.  It is red, white and blue with a little twist on the colors.  She had it quilted with red thread which makes it so interesting.

Laraine just finished this block of the month quilt top.  The pattern is Long Time Gone by Jen Kingwell.  The border was made with any scraps left over from the project.  Laraine would have the work for one month done in a week and then await the next fabric kit to arrive.  The last kit will arrive soon and that will have the backing fabric in it.  It is a beautiful piece.

Trudy brought this darling basket quilt.  It is a Jan Patek pattern called Aunt Cora's Flower Basket.  The baskets are appliqued along with the flower/vine border.  It is a charming quilt.

Liz has had this quilt top sitting in her sewing room for 27 years!  The plan was to hand quilt it but it just wasn't going to happen so she finally took it to the quilter recently and then bound it.  She took the pattern off of an old quilt and reproduced it for the Holiday Quilt Show in 1997.  Then made one for herself and it is finally finished.  Yay!

Girl Gang - May 2026

What fun to see new projects and what people have been working on. Leslie is as busy as ever.  She has made this Three Flags Log Cabin quilt...
