Hi Gals! We had a small group today but really enjoyed being together. Brittany and Ann were at BYU where Brittany was having her quilts photographed for an article in BYU magazine. Way to go Brittany!
It was wonderful to see Val and to see what she has been working on. She got out her stash of red fabrics and started cutting them up to make this delightful zigzag quilt. It has so many different kinds of fabric and is fun to look at.
While Val was on a red kick, she made this snowball block quilt. it is bright and cheery.
This last quilt of Val's is an ocean waves sort of pattern but not exactly. She tried to explain how it was made but I wasn't quite sure how she put it together. It has blues, grays, bright yellows and vibrant watermelon color fabrics.
Julie was also hoping for the weather to brighten and shared this beautiful applique quilt. The pattern is by an Australian designer. The fabrics are rich and gorgeous and especially the back. Don't you love the three blocks the same and one different? Julie had some Anna Maria Horner fabric that she used in this quilt for the border. It is striking. Love the black and white stripe small borders and binding.
