Girl Gang - September 2025

Hi Gals.  It is starting to feel more like cozy quilting days.  It was fun to see projects that have been in progress since we met in May.

Lorraine made this adorable English paper piecing quilt with stretch hexies that are appliqued to the background.  It has fabrics from her mom's clothes and hers and her sisters and other fabrics that she loves.

Lorraine also made this darling quilt called Botanical Sketchbook by Linen Closet Designs.  It is magical with bunnies and girds, butterflies and frogs, flowers and all sorts.  It is so sweet and the quilting by Cindy Paulsen is so beautiful.  A dear quilt.

Lorraine loves to have slow stitching to work on with lots of threads and embellishing.

Debra had a pinewood derby at her relief society last night and this is the cute car that she made with a strawberry pincushion in the driver's seat.

Debra made this cute Night Before Christmas book from a panel.  It is a dear way to read the beloved poem.

Laraine was using up some beautiful fabric that she had with a pattern from a magazine that had no measurements.  Huh!  But, she made it work and this is welcoming quilt will be fun as the winter months come.

Kerry finished this block of the month quilt called Split.  It is a kit from Wendy Williams in Australia and turned out a little different than the pattern.  Kerry put her own spin on the quilt and it is so cute.

Trudy is making 4 of these quilts and only has 2 and a half left to go.  Way to go Trudy!  It is a fun quilt and fun to look at.

Jennifer finished her Folk Flower and it is so great.  It will be fun for her to keep on the end of her bed.  The pattern is by Anna Maria Horner and is made with Tilda Bloomsville fabrics.

Jennifer is also working on her grandmother's flower garden blocks.  You know how tedious those are, right?  But she is making great progress and it is going to be wonderful.

Brittany had a busy spring so it was good to see her.  She has been working on this fabulous log cabin quilt kit from Duckadilly, Green Gables Quilt.  It is so amazing.  Each center of the block is fussy cut and of course, it is Brit's favorite Liberty of London fabrics.  Amazing!

Brittany makes enormous quilts and also quilts with the tiniest pieces.  She is using every last tiny piece of her Liberty fabrics to make these sweet free form pieces.  Some little half square triangles are only a half inch.  She has made some hexi flowers to go with.  Brittany, you are amazing!

Liz made two different baby quilts - one for a girl and one for a boy.  The baby was a girl so this little penguin quilt is going to a friend who is having a boy.  This is an Elizabeth Hartman pattern called Penguin Party.

And, Liz was happy to put out this little Fall Into Autumn mini quilt and pillows designed by Norma.  They are so cute!

No Girl Gang in October but we will gather again in November.
