Just wanted to highlight some amazing quilts by our talented friends.
Lil Anderson was at the Jen Kingwell class and it was so great to catch up with her. Many of us remember Lil working on this Lucy Boston quilt a few years ago and she was able to finish it and submit it to the Springville Quilt Show three years ago. Hand pieced and hand quilted and no wonder it won a ribbon. It is fabulous!
Ann Bowen was also in the class and we had a great time stitching and
chatting. She and Brittany both submitted quilts to the Springville
Quilt Show and what amazing quilters they are! Ann made this beautiful
basket quilt out of Liberty of London fabrics and won a ribbon of
excellence for it. She named it Baskets Full of Hope. Her son Nate and
his little girl Annabell are both dealing with cancer and this quilt
was made with them in mind.
Ann's quilt, Escape, was made with fabrics from her stash of fabrics of Cotton and Steel, aka Ruby Star from Moda. It is a lovely, graphic, scrappy quilt that is visually interesting.
Brittany's second quilt in the show was inspired by the leftovers from Norma's quilt, Yes, We Can America! and is a beautiful and so patriotic.
AND, don't worry! The Springville Quilt Show runs through September 23rd so you can still go see all of the quilts in person. Hours are 10:00 to 4:00, 126 East 400 South, Springville.
